Last week was unproductive, overwhelming, and frustrating – at least in my mind.
I admit that I set myself up for it. I tend to “grade” my days based on a productivity scale.
Do you do that?
Are you harder on yourself than anyone else seems to be?
Sometimes, we just need a bit of grace.
And I’m not talking about giving grace to others. Although that is super important… and a great topic for another time.
Today, I’m referring to, ME giving grace to ME. Or, YOU giving grace to YOU.
We live in a culture with high and often unhealthy expectations.
It’s SO EASY to slip into that space, where we become unreasonable in what we THINK we can accomplish.
Are you guilty of that? I know I am.
Living a healthy and balanced life doesn’t happen by accident. It is the result of INTENTIONAL choices.
And this includes how you choose to respond to the everyday circumstances that come your way – good or bad.
I’m keeping this week’s tweak simple. I just want to put this one small thought on your radar:
Give yourself grace when things don’t go as planned.
Maybe you needed to hear it, maybe not, but I DID need to say it to myself.
I’ll leave you with this acronym of what I think GRACE looks like in daily life.
Allow mistakes – yours and others
Enjoy small moments
